Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need horse experience?
A: Not at all! Our miniature horses are gentle and we guide every interaction. We enjoy introducing our horses to all who want to experience them.
Q: Are miniature horses safe?
A: Yes! Miniature horses are smaller and less intimidating than full-size horses. Ours are well-trained, gentle, and accustomed to working with people of all ages and equine experience levels. Our minis all stand less than 3 feet tall (measured at the end of their mane behind their shoulders), and age between 8 and 22 years old.
Q: Can we ride or sit on the minis?
A: No, all interactions, activities, and workshops are done on the ground. Depending on the purpose of your visit, the minis may be at liberty (free to roam) or haltered with a lead rope.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: We operate in all kinds of weather except lightening or icy conditions. Horses live outdoors year-round, and spending time with them in different seasons is part of the experience. We'll reschedule if lightening, ice, or poor travel conditions are forecasted.
Q: Can I bring my own children?
A: Absolutely! Families are very welcome. Children must be supervised by their parents/guardians at all times.
Q: How many people can visit at once?
A: We keep groups limited to 6 people or less for people directly interacting with the minis. Larger groups may be accommodated for visitors observing the minis from outside the paddocks.
Q: Can I take photos?
A: Yes! We love when people capture their memories. But you must ask permission before photographing others who might be visiting at the same time.
